The building · Montréal · 2027
Fourteen factory-built storeys, 80 studios, a café on the ground floor and a pavilion on the roof. Here is the façade as we picture it: hover a floor to explore it, switch to night to watch the building light up.

The façade
A dark, matte skin. The building reads as one block, an object set down in the street.
A concrete frame, open at the bottom, surrounds each window: the brand symbol, repeated over thirteen floors. At the very top right, a single vermilion frame.
The stair tower carries “HÔTEL · MEMENTO · MONTRÉAL” in tall letters, like a laneway sign.
The storefront runs the full width and the entrance takes the shape of the door. A blade sign marks the hotel at street level.
The mezzanine becomes a set-back lantern that lights up above the city at night.
